Flying in just a day before, we all met up in the parking lot at about 7:00 AM. We wouldn't make it to the top for the first rays of light, but I knew that wouldn't be an issue. Morning light is a special type of feel, and it only grows and grows. So we hiked up steadily in the morning dusk for a couple hours. Safe to say we were a little overheated and winded. Despite the hike's popularity, the incline is at the very least moderate.
Read MoreShooting at Deception Pass with Hannah & Matt probably felt similar to what a six year old would feel if they went to a toy store with no spending limit: The possibilities were endless, and every direction you looked there was just so much opportunity.
Read MoreMarci & I have known Karli for a few years now, but I must thank Marci for the fact that she had introduced me to her. I'd say Karli is one of the most genuine and down to earth people I've met, and since meeting Kevin, I think he's close to follow. It was Marci's idea to get these two down to Snoqualmie Falls and I just sat back took what I can, which obviously wasn't hard at all. I'd also like to say that this edit was inspired by India Earl and her session in this very same location.

Read MoreThese two are getting married in December, and we've gone through a lot of "first's" together so far! I believe I'm quite experienced when it comes to weddings and couples, but this year many new wats of doing things have started. Will and Anna were the first couple I had a real one-on-one with. Will and Anna are the first couple to have a wedding December, let alone winter.
During their engagements session, we came up with a fun idea of silently documenting a date. Will bought some flowers for Anna, and we let the rest unfold right there. It was the first time I really played with the idea of couples envisioning themselves on a date, not a photo shoot. I think that's an easy and important way to feel comfortable in front of the lens, and I think it worked it well.
I had an awesome time with Will and Anna, and I really can't wait until their December wedding.
